About The Opportunity RSCS and MRC are looking for experienced ammonia refrigeration service technicians who know the trade, take pride in their work, and can perform in the field when customers are counting on them. This role is for skilled industrial refrigeration professionals with real ammonia field-service experience — technicians who can walk into an engine room, troubleshoot the issue, communicate clearly with the customer, and help get critical systems operating safely and reliably again. You will join a team of trade professionals who understand industrial refrigeration, value strong workmanship, and support one another across a growing Western U.S. service footprint. Requirements What You’ll Do Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systemsDiagnose issues involving compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, controls, VFDs, and related equipmentPerform emergency service, leak response, preventive maintenance, system evaluations, and startup supportRead and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawingsCommunicate findings, repair needs, and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teamsComplete accurate field documentation and follow strong safety practices on every jobHelp customers reduce downtime, improve reliability, and keep refrigeration systems operating as they should What We’re Looking For Proven industrial refrigeration field-service experienceHands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems requiredStrong troubleshooting skills and safe work habitsAbility to work independently in the field while contributing to a professional teamExperience with compressors, controls, valves, motors, electrical troubleshooting, and system startups strongly preferredRETA CARO/CIRO, OSHA, EPA Universal, welding, controls, or electrical experience are valued, but practical field skill matters mostValid driver’s license and willingness to travel and participate in on-call service as needed Benefits What We Offer Top industry pay for proven ammonia experienceCompany truck and fuel cardCompany phone100% paid employee medical coverage after 60 daysDependent coverage available after one yearDental, vision, and prescription options401(k) with company matchPaid holidays, vacation, and PTOPer diem when travelingLong-term opportunity with companies that invest in skilled tradespeople We use a tiered hourly pay scale across RSCS and MRC for technician roles: Apprentice/Entry $20–$30, Technician (Early-Career) $30–$40, Journeyman (Mid-Level) $40–$50, and Senior/Field Supervisor $50–$70 (top end reserved for highest-level Senior Ammonia Technicians and Field Supervisors). Starting pay is based on verified experience, certifications, and job scope (including on-call/travel as applicable) and may vary by location due to local market and cost of living; hiring managers set the final starting rate within the appropriate tier.
