Senior Industrial Hygienist

About the role

Lead complex projects requiring innovative investigation techniques. Investigate sites to identify physical or environmental risks, perform field studies, develop sampling strategies, research regulatory standards, evaluate sampling results, prepare risk assessment reports, and communicate findings and recommendations to clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk.
• Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines.
• Create and model a safe work environment; demonstrate safety practices.
• Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
• Monitor and promote quality standards and practices on projects.
• Provide technical direction and training to less experienced professional staff.
• Participate in the development of marketing strategies and presentations of qualifications to clients on projects.
• Serve as a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related science field.
• Minimum 8-11 years’ experience.
• Master’s degree preferred or PhD preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
• Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer status required.
• Authorized Project Reviewer status preferred.

Pay

• Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 annually.
