About the role

This role is for a senior-level electrician to work on custom crane and hoist systems. You will spend most of your time performing complex installations, troubleshooting advanced electrical systems, and being accountable for the quality, safety, and accuracy of your work on high-consequence equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Electrical Installation & Assembly
    • Perform complex electrical installations on cranes and hoist systems
    • Build, wire, and troubleshoot control panels, motors, resistors, and festoon systems
    • Bend, thread, and install rigid conduit to meet design and code requirements
    • Create and install electrical brackets, supports, and assemblies
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
    • Diagnose and resolve advanced electrical issues efficiently and safely
    • Apply strong electrical theory and real-world troubleshooting techniques
    • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve build challenges
  • Quality, Safety & Standards
    • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards
    • Perform equipment testing and verification prior to release
    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Electrical apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
  • Experience: 7+ years of industrial or heavy equipment electrical experience. Strong experience working on crane or large equipment systems preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Deep working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Experience with control panel wiring, rigid conduit, and complex assemblies. Strong troubleshooting skills based on real-world application.
  • Skills & Attributes: High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Safety-first mindset and adherence to standards. Ownership and accountability. Ability to mentor others without formal authority. Alignment with ACECO values: Work Hard, Have Fun, and Do the Right Thing.
  • Licenses: State electrician license preferred but not required.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and randomized drug testing during employment.
  • Ability to meet the posted work schedule and required hours.
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE when in shop areas.
  • Willingness to complete required safety and compliance training.

Pay

The pay for this position is dependent on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. The top-of-range compensation is reserved for candidates who demonstrate strong, job-relevant experience and independent capability.

Schedule

Monday through Friday 5:00am-1:30pm OT as needed.
