  • Design and develop electrical systems for large fulfillment workcell robots, including power distribution, motor control, and sensor integration
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in deployed robotic systems to minimize downtime and optimize performance
  • Create detailed electrical control panel schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation following industry best practices
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and controls engineers to integrate electrical systems into complete robotic solutions
  • Conduct design reviews, failure analysis, and root cause investigations for electrical system issues
  • Define electrical specifications and requirements for new robotic workcell designs
  • Support manufacturing, installation, and commissioning of robotic systems at fulfillment centers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in robotics or automation
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, motor drives, and control systems
  • Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)
  • Proficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Understanding of safety standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 61508, NFPA 79, UL 508A)

Pluses to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with large-scale industrial automation or material handling systems
  • Knowledge of PLCs, industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Profinet, etc.)
  • Experience with low and high voltage systems in robotic applications
  • Familiarity with EMC/EMI design considerations
  • Experience supporting field deployments and troubleshooting in operational facilities
