Senior Individual Disability Claims Specialist (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Use creative mindset and persuasive writing to resolve complex claim and policy matters.
• Participate in meetings with customers to discuss and resolve issues.
• Provide accurate claims decisions in a fast-paced environment, adhering to all state and department of insurance regulations.
• Work collaboratively across business divisions, including internal and external partners.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to colleagues with less experience.
• Contribute to department innovations and improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of insurance claim handling experience, specifically in Individual Disability Claims.
• A college or university degree, or equivalent extensive work experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking.
• Experience providing outstanding customer service.
• Attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience negotiating and developing solution strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Pay

$80,610.00 - $132,435.00 annually

Schedule

This role offers the opportunity to work remotely. Occasional travel to meet business needs will be required.
