Senior Hydrogeologist

About the role

As a Senior Hydrogeologist at Burgess & Niple, you will serve as a technical resource on groundwater supply and help solve complex subsurface challenges. You'll combine deep technical expertise with practical problem-solving to deliver accurate results, helping clients navigate regulatory requirements while protecting the communities and environments we serve.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource within the Assessment and Remediation section
• Support groundwater supply, environmental assessment, remediation, landfill compliance, and related projects
• Plan and perform hydrologic investigations
• Develop conceptual site models
• Construct, calibrate, and apply groundwater-flow and contaminant-transport models
• Interpret complex geologic and groundwater data
• Prepare technically accurate deliverables
• Develop practical solutions that address client objectives and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science in Geology, Hydrology, or similar; Master of Science preferred
• 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting
• Direct experience with MODFLOW, MODPATH, AQTESOLV, and Groundwater Vistas

• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and on uneven terrain
