Senior Hydraulic Modeling Engineer

About the role

Assist in water and wastewater system planning, modeling, and design development for diverse projects. Perform specialized hydraulic modeling and capital planning for conveyance and management systems, supporting various applications such as wastewater, potable water, irrigation, hydropower, and stormwater.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute technical tasks, ensure quality control, coordinate resources, and support project phases from planning to closeout.
• Involve data collection, analysis, documentation, and support during design and construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and potentially serve as technical lead or project manager.
• Contribute to client engagement, business development, and professional marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering; PE license required.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in water/wastewater systems, hydraulic evaluations, and design.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, WaterCAD), ArcGIS Pro, and MS Office suite.
• Experience developing, analyzing, and delivering modeling studies and technical reports.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and system planning approaches.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and self-management skills.
