Senior HW/SW Integration Engineer
Main Responsibilities
Lead (HW/SW) Hardware / Software Subsystem integration activities at the Holistic (MSV) Main Subsystem Vehicle or (KV) Key Vehicle level.
Coordinate across various SW/HW teams to ensure vehicle functions are as intended.
This includes FPGA, Flight Software, Test SW, EGSE, STE, and Simulation.
Wherever HW touches, SW is within purview and a potential area for integration activities.
The expectation of this role will have authority to delegate tasks to the appropriate SEIT, Avionics, Firmware, Software, EGSE, STE, Testbed, and Test POCs.
Drive completion of any unresolved system level HW/SW interfaces and/or changes related to ERB.
Drive completion of subsystem level interface documents/models.
Support relevant interface documentation reviews which include internal, SDRL, and CDRL.
Focus on test labs and hands-on successful integration and V&V activities from a holistic perspective.
Hardware fidelity pedigree Sim model V&V, hardware simulation functions adequately.
Drive progress and solve deficiencies when found.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline or related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on systems-level development testing and integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions.
- Experience with I&T integration and test.
- Experience developing and executing system-level and HIL test procedures.
- Strong understanding of requirements verification and validation processes.
- Experience troubleshooting integrated HW/SW systems in a lab environment.
- Ability to professionally communicate project status and collaborate on technical solutions with clients and peers.
- Active Secret Clearance Required.
- Able to work onsite 100%.
- Able to travel up to 25%.
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Experience leading technical projects or mentoring junior engineers.
- Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (Cameo, AADL).
- Experience with Signal Processing Implementation.
- Ability to communicate and document complex technical designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
