- Competitive compensation: $40-$55/hr based on experience

Responsibilities
- Provides expert service to the customer base by repairing and overhauling equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Performs expert repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors.
- Conducts preventative maintenance activities by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies of mechanical equipment.
- Processes job tickets and work orders to the necessary department in a timely manner.
- Provides training to new or less qualified technicians as needed.
- Maintains proper truck inventory and drives company vehicle safely.

Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or completion from trade program or technical school.
- Passed Tech Skills level 5 with an 80% or better.
- Valid CFC certificate.
- All required safety certifications.
- 5+ years' experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, ice machine, and gas furnace.
- Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience and supermarket stores.
- Expert knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical systems.
- Expert knowledge of single systems, rack systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer controls.
- Good mechanical and communication skills.
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license required at all times.
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures, and all applicable state and federal laws.
- Proficiency with typical business tools including email, Word, Excel, etc.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This job typically operates in convenience stores, grocery stores, food service, and/or construction environments, often requiring work at heights from ladders and/or scissor lifts. Mechanical rooms may have elevated noise levels. The position involves regular exposure to refrigeration/HVAC equipment, extreme cold from refrigerant, and high heat from brazing operations. Work is routinely performed in outside conditions, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust, requiring the use of correct PPE and safe work practices.
- This position is very active and requires excellent stamina to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Regularly required to walk and stand for long periods, hear, drive, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
