Senior Human Resources Representative
About the role
The Phoenix office of SmithGroup is seeking a Senior Human Resources Representative to join their team. This role involves facilitating HR strategies, coordinating HR administrative duties, leading recruitment efforts, preparing reports, advising on HR and employee issues, and maintaining compliance with employment regulations.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate overall HR strategies (e.g., compensation, benefits, HRIS, employee relations, management, and organizational development)
- Cook up day-to-day HR administrative duties to ensure compliance and accurate entry of data into HR systems
- Lead overall regional recruitment and provide oversight to junior HR staff on recruiting and hiring efforts
- Prepare reports, identify trends, and advise Human Resources Manager on HR and employee related issues, including compensation, staffing, performance, and retention
- Act as main point of contact on all immigration matters and work closely with outside counsel to ensure timely and accurate filing of required applications and delivery of high touch support
- Develop and administer various human resources plans, programs, and procedures for all regional personnel
- Assist firmwide initiatives including the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
- Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
- Work in partnership with the Human Resources Manager to investigate and resolve complicated or unusual employee relations issues
- Advise operational managers on HR, employment law and employee related issues
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Provide customer service for employees on benefits, payroll, and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A college degree is preferred.
- 5 - 7 years of HR-related experience with a strong generalist background.
- Sensitivity towards confidential information is a must.
- The ability to set priorities, multitask, and work independently.
- Proficiency in HRIS system maintenance, file management, and data auditing in a professional setting; Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy is required.
- Working knowledge of UKG Pro and talent management software applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $71,000 to $78,000 annually and you are eligible for a performance-based bonus each year.
