Senior HR Partner
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for an HR professional with a diverse range of interests. The role is exposed to the full scope of HR functions with multisite responsibility (e.g. Employee Relations, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Analytics, and Talent Management) in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is an ideal role for somebody who wants to roll up their sleeves and help make a big impact while continuing to elevate their valuable HR experience.
This role is responsible for driving strategic HR initiatives in a growing, multi-state organization. The Senior HR Partner is responsible for oversight and implementation of human resource functions for all employee groups (salaried, salaried non-exempt, and hourly). The Sr HR Partner serves as a business partner to management on all employee relations issues while acting as an employee champion and change agent.
Location and Mobility
This is a senior level partnership role with two potential geographic frameworks:
- Geographic Framework A: Based in Tampa, FL and/or Chester, SC (Standard Logistics Fleet Locations). Role structure: based at a large fleet/warehousing location with a 3:2 in-office schedule and 10% travel.
- Geographic Framework B: Remote within 2 hours of a Southeast or Northeast based fleet location (Baltimore, MD; New Columbia, PA; Myerstown, PA; Tuscaloosa, AL; Valdosta, GA). Role structure: based remotely but requiring on-site presence at a Standard Logistics fleet location one week per month.
Future internal promotion paths and expanded leadership responsibilities beyond plant-level HR Business Partner opportunities would be primarily based out of Parsippany, NJ and/or Dallas, TX.
This role will have a minimum travel requirement of 25%.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement people solutions to address enterprise and functional strategies.
- Act as a change agent to further enhance organizational growth and development.
- Identify opportunities to modernize and standardize current HR processes within the fleets and drive our strategic HRBP model.
- Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
- Participate in corporate HR project teams and programs.
- Conduct investigations and make recommendations regarding disciplinary actions and/or employee terminations.
- Partner with Employee Relations COE on appropriate ER issues, and inform members of leadership as necessary.
- Generate ideas for and champion employee engagement and employee relations activities to foster positive employee morale and interaction.
- Provide a high level of customer service to all client groups and HR visibility to hourly teams.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to employees, supervisors, and managers.
- Partner with the recruitment team to facilitate/coordinate hourly and salaried interviews, facilitate the on-boarding process, and conduct new hire orientation.
- Partner with the fleet management team to facilitate employee engagement focus groups and develop meaningful action plans for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 5+ years in exempt level Human Resources role(s).
Skills
- Tech savvy: Demonstrated experience learning new systems, and/or have used an HRIS (Workday preferred). Intermediate skills in working with all programs in the Google Suite.
- Flexibility: You roll with the punches. You prefer a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are agile and comfortable enough to keep up as plans change and evolve.
- Ability to multitask: You’ve demonstrated the ability to balance and manage multiple priorities with accuracy, efficiency, and in a timely manner due to your strong organization skills.

- Communication: You can speak and write in a clear, concise and professional manner.
Pay
Base Salary Range: $99,000-$126,500. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
