Pay

Senior HR Business Partner: Expected salary range of $93,800 to $104,000, varies based on experience.

HR Generalist: Expected salary range of $72,900 to $81,000, varies based on experience.

Senior HR Business Partner

Purpose

Partner with all levels of leadership to align HR strategy with business goals, direction, and vision. Provide proactive professional HR guidance to internal clients, adding value to the business and supporting Constellation’s enterprise strategy. Support assigned client groups and implement HR strategy in partnership with HR leadership to meet business unit goals. Drive change management across the HR organization and client groups.

Responsibilities

  • Champion employee engagement and workforce effectiveness initiatives in partnership with business and HR specialty areas (e.g., talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion).
  • Provide consultative guidance to business leadership, developing and implementing plans aligned with organizational capabilities, structure, and business strategy.
  • Serve as liaison to HR specialty functions and centers of expertise for optimal client support.
  • Lead or participate in enterprise-wide initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, HR and business transformation projects, and change management.
  • Drive workforce and talent planning by assessing talent pipelines and strategizing to build strength, in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Evaluate and resolve employee relations issues, and develop strategies to address trends.
  • Provide input to Centers of Excellence (COEs) to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of strong HR operations experience or HR specialist experience in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, and FMLA.
  • Ability to analyze problems within the broader industry and marketplace context.
  • Strong drive for results, with proven skills in coaching and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, and foster culture change with client leads.
  • Proficiency in research methods, including data collection and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in a related HR field).
  • PHR or SPHR certification.

HR Generalist

Purpose

Provide professional advice, guidance, and implementation support to line management regarding workforce planning, employee relations, and staffing. Ensure integrated HR support of business strategy and goals. Interpret, implement, and execute Constellation’s policies and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify talent and workforce needs within client groups and partner with HR Business Partner to develop plans addressing gaps.
  • Drive and support annual HR processes in partnership with HR Business Partner and business units.
  • Provide assistance on HR operational issues and champion change within business units.
  • Support transactional aspects of employee and organizational changes.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to resolve employee issues, under the direction of the HR Business Partner.
  • Support recruitment activities in partnership with the talent acquisition function.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of strong HR generalist experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to build effective line management relations in a high-performance culture, with strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, and FMLA.
  • Familiarity with business operations (Energy Services or Corporate-type background is helpful).
  • Strong drive for results to ensure HR alignment with business units or sites.
  • Proven skills in coaching, performance management, and facilitating business competency.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, and foster culture change with line management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR certification.
