About the role
Mental Health Services within the HSE Dublin and South East are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Psychiatry of Old Age. The position is located in Carlow Kilkenny South Tipperary.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychiatric care to older adults with complex mental health needs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service plans for older adults.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in research activities related to the care of older adults.
Requirements
- Active Irish Medical Council Registration.
- Access to transport essential.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Psychiatry.
- At least 5 years of relevant postgraduate experience in psychiatry.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical decision-making abilities.
