Senior High-Speed Analog IC Design RD Engineer
About the role
Nokia is seeking a Senior/Staff High-Speed Analog IC Design R&D Engineer to create innovative products in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment within the Optical Networks division. This role involves hands-on work across all phases of R&D, including product definition, circuit design, layout, verification, bring-up, DVT, qualification, test, and production ramp-up. As part of a vertically-integrated team, you will support system-level customers and collaborate closely with product, operations, and reliability teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop >100Gbaud ICs for future-generation products.
- Oversee multiple aspects of IC product development, including design, layout, and bring-up.
- Collaborate with verification, CAD, product, and test engineering teams to devise and conduct DVT plans and characterization.
Requirements
- Experience with high-speed analog IC designs using SiGe BiCMOS or CMOS.
- Knowledge of transmission lines and other high-frequency passive structures.
- A strong understanding of device physics and its impact on analog circuits, including techniques to improve performance.
- Experience with RF wafer probing, lab equipment, and evaluation of high-speed analog ICs.
- Familiarity with VerilogA and CAD scripting languages (Skill, Python, shell scripts) is an asset.
- Must be a team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- BS with 5+ years of experience (MS/PhD preferred).
- MS with 3+ years of experience.
- PhD in a relevant field.
