Senior Healthcare Economics Consultant - Remote

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with management functions including data acquisition, standardization, integration and enrichment to support Optum Care analytics & infrastructure
• Work with team members to document processes and procedures for data management functions that include data mapping and formatting
• Act as a liaison between business, IT support and project management
• Solve technical challenges using innovative approaches, use data to support business decisions and demonstrate collaborative and creative thinking
• Support HCE data infrastructure development including AI enablement for processing efficiencies and data analytics
• Work with business partners to define and document business and technical requirements for data and analytics projects, this includes documentation of data flows and data mapping from source systems into our new analytic platform

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management (Optum Preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in data management
• 5+ years of experience with SQL coding and query optimization
• 3+ years of experience with Snowflake/Snowpark Cloud environment
• Experience working with star schema databases
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

• Python scripting experience
