About the role
Marmon Foodservice Technologies, Inc. is a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings, which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway. You'll be involved in designing and manufacturing foodservice equipment for major consumer brands, with a focus on innovation and leading at every level.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute large core or derivative programs
- Lead complex product development programs by driving development and validation of the product or subsystems
- Perform system level design, testing, and validation for various products
- Conduct radiated emissions, conducted emissions, and immunity/susceptibility testing
- Lead complex 8D issue resolution projects
- Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions
- Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications
- Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement design modifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met
Requirements
- Experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, PCB layout, prototyping, debugging, verification
- Proficiency in schematic capture, layout, and other design related tools and applications
- Experience with controls, sensors, touch screens/displays, motors, infotainment, power supplies, wire harness, converters, inverters, gauges, switches, etc.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, physics, and concepts
- Experience with common test equipment (Oscilloscope, DVM, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer)
- Electronic fabrication experience (soldering fine pitch parts, harness building, prototype fabrication)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly
- Hands-on knowledge of FCC, CE, CISPR, and IEC standards, with the ability to develop test plans and drive system-level design improvements for EMC performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 7-10+ years of relevant experience developing and validating hardware systems and products
