Senior Hardware Engineer
About the role
Allegion is seeking a Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer to join a small, highly engaged team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees. The ideal candidate will work on solutions enabling seamless access and enhancing safety and security.
Responsibilities
- Develop hardware design concepts and architectures for electronic systems.
- Collaborate with all engineering disciplines in a team environment.
- Support large/lead small hardware design efforts through all phases of development.
- Generate technical documentation.
- Identify system risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Quickly complete root cause analysis and implement corrective action to resolve design issues.
- Actively participate in peer/design reviews.
- Implement and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and procedures.
- Support collaboration efforts with external PCBA manufacturing contractors, internal production manufacturing, internal quality teams, and internal/external test teams with assembling and integrating hardware components.
Requirements
- High degree of knowledge in embedded electronic analog and digital circuit design.
- Strong interpersonal skills, resourcefulness, and flexibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation skills.
- Strong proficiency with common laboratory equipment and engineering software tools.
- Experience with PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi radio hardware, and NFC radio design.
- Experience designing embedded systems for harsh environmental conditions.
- BS or higher from an ABET accredited institution in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in product development.

Pay
The expected Base Salary Range: $99,000 – $150,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
