Senior Grid Systems Consultant - 1898 & Co. (Multiple Locations)
1898 & Co. is seeking a Senior Enterprise Systems Implementation Consultant in either Kansas City, MO; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX.
About the role
Utilize extensive knowledge associated with enterprise-wide technology to support clients in implementing system-wide digital platforms. This position leads a variety of implementations for asset and work management systems, capital project delivery and project control systems, as well as industry-specific systems such as grid management or meter data management systems. The role also supports business development efforts by assisting with project pursuits and developing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of enterprise systems solutions while collaborating with internal and external project teams.
- Design and develop technical implementation approaches.
- Provide technical leadership for enterprise-wide digitization of business capabilities.
- Support development of technical specifications, project approaches, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control of deliverables to meet client and project requirements.
- Support development of enterprise system needs, requirements, and improved business processes.
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, customers, and contractors to develop business.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge and its relevance to enterprise systems applications.
- Leverage domain knowledge when working with cross-divisional teams.
- Provide leadership and direction for implementation teams during delivery stages.
- Manage innovation initiatives through research, vetting, and qualifying new enterprise system technologies.
- Manage project execution from initiation to completion, including requirements gathering, application and business process inputs, and deliverable preparation.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or related field from an accredited program.
- Seven years of relevant experience.
- Excellent enterprise system implementation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
- Ability to independently solve difficult problems requiring adaptation of standard techniques or procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines in on-site work environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including identifying critical path items to meet deliverable deadlines.
- Ability to focus on the big picture while identifying and analyzing critical project details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
Schedule
Full-time with up to 10% travel.
