Senior Graphic Designer
About the role
BILL is a rapidly growing fintech company dedicated to helping businesses make smarter decisions through innovative financial automation tools. This Senior Graphic Designer position is within the Brand Creative Department, focusing on expanding and utilizing the BILL brand design system, creating brand guidelines, style guides, and templates, and delivering high-quality design for marketing materials.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously throughout fast-paced creative workflows to deliver high-bar and impactful creative marketing assets, balancing business needs with technical and creative constraints.
- Interpret complex briefs, defend design decisions, and ensure every visual solution aligns with broader business goals.
- Build and expand design systems with Claude.
- Lead projects from conceptual stage through to final production and delivery, maintaining momentum, meeting deadlines, and ensuring quality at every milestone.
- Present creative work and logic to senior leadership and stakeholders, delivering key messages at the appropriate level of detail for each audience.
- Maintain and share up-to-date expertise and best-practices for creative discipline, with attention to common touchpoints.
- Anticipate and proactively flag potential bottlenecks and roadblocks, communicating project status with Project Managers regularly.
- Manage and iterate creative approaches, continuously elevating personal creative bar and output, and driving the team's creative bar.
- Act as a design leader, mentoring peers and junior members of the creative team.
Requirements
A minimum of 5-7 years of proven impact in graphic design, specifically in roles where you were responsible for the "big picture" strategy as well as the execution. Must have a "Owner" mindset, working independently, making critical decisions under pressure, and troubleshooting roadblocks without hand-holding. Mastery of craft in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), experience with creative AI tools, and a strong understanding of motion design are required.
Qualifications
Expert-level proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), experience and knowledge using creative AI tools, and a strong understanding of motion design.
Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
