About the Role

The Rivian Indirect Procurement team is seeking a highly motivated, independent, and exceptional IT Senior Global Supply Manager to support Rivian’s mission of bringing innovative products to life. This role is responsible for managing the IT Software category for Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing: Lead projects with medium to large vehicle spend for IT Software, supporting a multi-generational vehicle strategy. Drive competitive bid processes and manager-level reviews.
  • Systems & Process: Use supply chain systems to support business needs, including RFI/RFPs and purchase orders. Identify and provide feedback on system improvements.
  • Technical Understanding: Lead supplier prospecting and commodity strategy, monitoring economic, political, and technology landscapes to mitigate risks.
  • Negotiations: Negotiate commercial terms and LTAs, develop financial baselines, and drive targeted negotiation strategies, including software licensing agreements.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, understanding sub-supplier footprints and raw material drivers.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing detailed forecasting and cost support for long-term plans.
  • Project Management & Risk Mitigation: Lead small-scale projects, identify and mitigate risks, and propose resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering with 3+ years of indirect procurement experience.
  • Domain Expertise: Negotiation and technical experience in IT software licensing, with automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Commodity-Specific Experience:
    • 3+ years of IT software licensing experience
    • ERP and purchase order processing experience (Coupa preferred)
    • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system experience (Ironclad preferred)
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, Coupa, and AI tools.
  • Communication: Professional interpersonal and presentation skills, with conflict resolution abilities.
  • Execution: Ability to solve problems of diverse scope and exercise good judgment.
  • Operational Style: Comfortable working independently with general instructions.

Pay

The salary range for this role is:

  • Michigan and Illinois: $98,500 - $123,100
  • Irvine, California: $107,800 - $134,800
  • Palo Alto, California: $117,200 - $146,500

An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on factors including competencies, education, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonuses and equity awards.
