About the role

The Senior Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, machinery, tooling, and services. Key responsibilities include developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing budgets, and collaborating with suppliers and internal partners.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sourcing pipeline, benchmarking data, and strategic presentations
  • Adhere to corporate and departmental purchasing and accounting practices
  • Sourcing and contracting activities such as sourcing strategy, bid list development, quote analysis, and negotiation
  • Coordinate and align RFQ package components, including terms and conditions, SOR compliance, technical documentation, and quality alignment
  • Manage supplier relationship management initiatives, including "Strategic Supplier Engagement"
  • Support direct material budget activities
  • Lead supplier relationship management initiatives, including "Strategic Supplier Engagement" and nurture relationships with suppliers by acting as a focal point for commercial issue resolution
  • Perform change management activities
  • Represent purchasing and support mitigation of supply chain disruptions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, logistics, or product development

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related advanced degree
  • Experience with commodities, cost analysis, or manufacturing
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Knowledge of capacity and materials management
  • Ability to draw conclusions from complex data, market trends, and the regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of contract law as it applies to purchasing processes
