Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting is a Made in America lighting company dedicated to introducing artistic lighting and studio glass to the next generation of designers, architects, and industry leaders in the commercial sector. Since the 1940s, we have been at the forefront of innovative and creative light artistry.

Responsibilities

• Enjoy working in the cornerstone of creative design within the lighting industry.
• Work on large, one-of-a-kind custom installations.
• Utilize a variety of glass techniques including traditional glassblowing/sculpting, mold blowing, hot casting, fusing, kiln casting, coldworking, and UV gluing.
• Benefit from studio time on weekends to create personal glasswork.
• Support the creation of innovative designs and push the boundaries of glassblowing techniques.
• Oversee complex glassblowing projects to ensure they meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Ensure all glass pieces produced meet the highest standards of craftsmanship.
• Showcase creativity by designing and creating unique and innovative glass pieces.
• Have basic coldworking and ladle casting skills.
• Overcome challenges and find solutions to technical issues.
• Guide and mentor others in glassblowing.
• Be willing to adapt to changes in product design and take constructive criticism positively.
• Work independently or collaboratively, depending on the nature of the project.
• Follow the company's dress code and adhere to industrial safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous work experience in production glass studios.
• Exceptional skill in all aspects of glassblowing, mold blowing, shaping, forming, and finishing work.
• Deep understanding of glass properties, techniques, and equipment.
• Basic coldworking and ladle casting skills.
• Experience in ladle casting.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods in hot weather.
