About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Civil & Structural Engineering Practice in Bellevue, WA. In this role, you will work as part of a team responsible for the inspection, analysis, and evaluation of geotechnical systems (e.g., foundations, retaining walls, excavation support systems, levees, dams, slopes, etc.) and frequently the preparation of repair/mitigation concepts.
Responsibilities
- Conducting field inspections and subsurface explorations
- Performing geotechnical and civil engineering analyses
- Assisting with peer review of the design and construction of geotechnical systems
- Preparing conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of damaged geotechnical systems
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + 3 years of post-graduate experience
- Alternatively, an M.S. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university + a minimum of 5 years of experience
- P.E. License in at least one state is required
- Degrees, experience, or related coursework in Geology/Geological Engineering, Groundwater/Surface Water Hydrology, or Structural Engineering a strong plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and potential to develop successful client relations
- Attention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and effective leadership skills
- Ability to work independently or support multiple group projects and to interact with other engineers, administrative staff, and clients
- Ability to gather information from a wide variety of sources (e.g., field investigations, document reviews, and interviews) and to synthesize and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and industry
- Knowledge of geotechnical modeling software, graphing software, GIS, and imaging software a strong plus

Pay
The base salary range for this position is USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 per year, dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
At the Associate and Senior Associate level, total compensation includes base salary, bi-weekly bonuses for high-intensity efforts, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
