About the role
We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering high-quality geotechnical engineering services across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support geotechnical engineering projects from planning through design and construction
- Perform and oversee geotechnical investigations, including drilling programs and subsurface evaluations
- Conduct analyses and design for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, and earth retention systems
- Complete geotechnical modeling, including seepage, slope stability, and pile analysis (vertical and lateral)
- Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and construction documents
- Ensure deliverables meet regulatory requirements and company quality standards
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff and project teams
- Collaborate across disciplines to support complex infrastructure and environmental projects
- Assist with client engagement and business development to expand service offerings
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (geotechnical focus preferred)
- 6+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (CT, MA, or RI), or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proven experience delivering geotechnical services
- Strong experience with geotechnical modeling and analysis tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and geotechnical software
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
- Project management and supervisory experience highly preferred
