About the role
The Senior General Equipment Analyst will leverage military, warehouse, and inventory experience to provide material control and data analytics solutions to NAVSEA researchers and staff. The position supports NSWCCD's Material and Asset Management programs.
Responsibilities
- Audit NSWCCD OM&S Purchase Requisition and Plant Property & Equipment Asset Management training courses.
- Provide comments and recommendations to improve training courses curriculum and materials.
- Create new and update existing training courses.
- Analyze and document NSWCCD management and business processes workflows and roles & responsibilities using model-based system engineering concepts.
- Analyze processes using data from the development of models and implementation of simulations.
- Identify problem areas, perform root cause analysis, develop requirements, and provide recommendations to improve NSWCCD processes.
- Monitor processes and assist in implementing improvements in compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Assist NSWCCD in implementing new requirements impacting NSWCCD programs and conduct technical risk assessments.
- Use metrics to monitor program performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare point papers to justify new program concepts that deviate from higher-level policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience as outlined above, or an additional 5 years of prior military Department of Defense or related business experience.
- Favorably adjudicated PSI at Tier 3 T3 level.
- Experience in a management capacity with responsibilities for property asset accountability, information on property value, equipment utilization, accounting, depreciation, data serial number tracking, and property management.
- Relevant experience in a management capacity with responsibilities for managing or leading a team in producing quality deliverables.
- Working knowledge of Plant Property & Equipment Asset Management policies and regulations including FMR FAR and DoD Instruction 500064.
