Senior Gameplay Programmer, Game Prototypes

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer, Game Prototypes to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will focus on building and refining gameplay systems from early prototype through polished implementation across a variety of game concepts. You will help translate creative ideas into playable features, optimize performance for cloud-based game experiences, and partner closely with design, art, and production to bring cohesive gameplay to life. The position calls for a hands-on engineer who can move quickly, adapt to changing project needs, and contribute across multiple titles in a fast-paced development environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,000 – $250,000 annually Responsibilities Contribute to diverse game projects, adapting engineering approaches to fit genre and platform. Own and develop complex gameplay features from prototype to polished implementation. Translate design concepts into playable systems using Unreal Engine 5 and various tools. Profile, optimize, and debug code and content for performance on cloud streaming platforms. Collaborate with designers, artists, and producers to ensure cohesive feature integration. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Gameplay Programmer/Engineer with a focus on player experience. Proficient in C++, Unreal Engine 5, and Blueprint implementation. Strong understanding of gameplay design and mechanics across various genres. Experience in prototyping and shipping multiple game titles. Ability to develop complex features end-to-end under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration. Adaptable to fast-paced, evolving project scopes.
