Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Fund Accounting: Support accounting activities for private investment vehicles, including reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and coordination with third-party service providers.
- Investor Reporting: Assist with investor reporting, capital activity, performance reporting, and valuation support while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Management Company Accounting: Prepare month-end reporting, assist with budgeting, variance analysis, cash management, and operating company accounting activities.
- Financial Planning: Support cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and financial analysis to assist with business and operational decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Enhance accounting procedures, reporting workflows, and internal controls while supporting system and process improvement initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, investment, operations, compliance, and investor relations teams to support ongoing accounting and financial initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, CPA is preferred.
- Experience: 4–6 years of accounting experience within public accounting, alternative investments, asset management, or partnership accounting is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, partnership accounting, investment accounting, and management company accounting is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience supporting financial reporting, budgeting, cash forecasting, and accounting systems is required.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with senior leadership, and work independently in a fast-paced environment are required.
