Senior Fullstack Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer with deep Python/Django backend skills and hands-on React experience to extend and scale the core platform and to build its next generation of AI capabilities. The work is roughly 70/30 to 80/20 backend to frontend. You will own problems end to end in a fast-moving, autonomous environment: scaling data-heavy pipelines that process very large volumes of imagery, owning internal agentic infrastructure, and leading development of an AI project-management agent from architecture through production release. You will work directly with the founder/CEO and a small engineering team to understand customers and solve problems rather than simply build features. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Core platform: Extend and scale the Python/Django API that processes more than 100 million images per month across computer vision, detection, and visualization layers.Agentic infrastructure: Take ownership of internal agentic infrastructure and data endpoints, with the goal of a self-improving loop that runs largely on autopilot.AI project agent: Lead development of a project-management agent, from architecture and design through production release, that continuously triages risk and manages projects for clients.Data pipelines: Build ingestion and parsing pipelines that pull in files, emails, and communications, then map and ground that data in physical project space to power user, project, and account knowledge graphs.Analytics: Design and optimize efficient calculations, analytics, and dashboard roll-ups.Frontend: Contribute React work across the product so you are never blocked waiting on others.Customer focus: Partner closely with the founder/CEO and the engineering team to understand customers and the problem space. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 5–12 years of software engineering experience as a fullstack engineer, with experience building complex, data-heavy systems.Experience at an early-stage startup (seed through Series B).Built and owned complex, high-volume data systems end to end (e.g., image, document, or event ingestion and processing pipelines) at a scale comparable to 100M+ images per month.Deep backend development experience with Python and Django.Hands-on React experience; has shipped frontend features end to end in a production web app (not backend-only).Experience owning products end to end: design, build, implementation, and customer discovery.Comfortable working autonomously with no hand-holding in a fast-moving environment.Able to work hybrid in the New York City metropolitan area, approximately 3 days per week in the office.Authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
