Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable enterprise applications using Java and modern frameworks.
- Build and maintain microservices using Java (11/17) and Spring Boot, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations to support distributed systems.
- Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical recommendations around scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Write secure, high-quality production code following engineering standards, design patterns, and best practices.
- Optimize application performance through database tuning, JVM improvements, API optimization, and system analysis.
- Implement automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, contract, and functional testing.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-based application delivery.
- Identify and resolve technical debt, system bottlenecks, and architectural challenges through proactive improvements.
- Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams through planning, development, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain clear technical documentation, including architecture designs, APIs, deployment processes, and operational guides.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate is an experienced full stack engineer with strong expertise in Java-based backend development, modern frontend technologies, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Java (versions 11 and 17), Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
- Strong experience designing and supporting microservices architectures and distributed applications.
- Proven frontend development experience with React, with Angular or Vue experience considered a plus.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Git-based workflows, code reviews, and release management practices.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, distributed systems concepts, and automated testing practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile development environments.
