Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to architect, build, and lead development of intuitive user experiences and robust backend systems for our award-winning Cognite Data Fusion® platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive architectural decisions and lead implementation of scalable full stack solutions
• Design and implement elegant APIs, intuitive user experiences, and underlying infrastructure
• Influence strategic product roadmap and technical direction
• Build and maintain large-scale infrastructure and web services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and domain experts
• Work directly with users to understand needs and build products they want to use

Qualifications

• Required Skills & Experience
• Expert knowledge of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, software design)
• Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages (Kotlin, Java, Python, or Rust)
• Deep expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript with extensive experience in frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
• Experience with state management patterns, build tooling (Webpack, Vite), and testing frameworks
• Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
• Proven ability to prioritize for maximum impact
• English proficiency
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading significant projects
• Experience designing and scaling complex full stack architectures
• Background in industrial software, IoT, or large-scale data visualization
• SaaS product environment experience
• Mobile application development experience
