Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, Ads

About the role

Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Ads team. Our team is revolutionizing the way users interact with our platform through innovative ads formats (including Quests).

Responsibilities

• Build new ads products from the backend to the frontend that deliver direct value to users through rewards
• Create a platform that enables advertisers and operations teams to manage their ad campaigns
• Maintain and improve the architecture of our products and systems to ensure long-term scalability
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to create delightful products that people love
• Utilize our analytics and experimentation frameworks to help optimize our ads products

Requirements

• Full-stack experience with hands-on experience in TypeScript, React, Python, or equivalents
• A strong drive for excellence, with a focus on delivering complete solutions rather than quick fixes
• A high attention to detail, capable of building beautiful products
• Strong collaboration skills, able to work transparently with your team, highlighting both successes and challenges
• A growth mindset, viewing mistakes as learning opportunities and continually striving to improve
• 4+ years of experience, working with similar technologies

Qualifications

• Familiarity with experimentation tooling and analysis
• Experience with React Native and mobile development (iOS/Android)
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Interest or passion for the Discord platform

Benefits

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $196,000 to $220,500 + equity + benefits

Schedule

Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties).
