About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack web application development, cloud-based environments, and modern development frameworks. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. The position involves a hybrid work setup with three days onsite and requires an onsite interview.

Responsibilities

  • Write tests and document technical work products, including code, scripts, and processes, adhering to organizational standards.
  • Solve complex technical problems and build impactful components and libraries.
  • Deliver high-quality work and mentor junior engineers on technical craftsmanship.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify systemic problems and lead execution of action items to address them.
  • Design integrated systems that model organizational best practices, enabling teams to deliver value with speed, scale, and reliability.
  • Oversee the management of technical debt and drive opportunities to eliminate it within ongoing implementations.
  • Anticipate scaling, latency, and durability challenges, guiding teams in implementing mitigating strategies.
  • Collaborate with the security organization to incorporate security-conscious practices early in the lifecycle of new systems.
  • Evaluate technical risks and guide teams toward practical prevention strategies.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to squad delivery practices and remove duplication of effort across teams.
  • Identify opportunities for reuse within the span of influence and measure team performance to foster individual development.
  • Explore emerging technologies, lead prototype development, and incorporate them into architectural solutions where appropriate.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience with React or Angular 2 and up.
  • 3-5 years of experience with development frameworks such as Spring Boot (required).
  • 5 years of experience developing full-stack web applications.
  • 3-5 years of experience working on Agile development teams.
  • 3 years of experience managing and developing applications hosted in a cloud environment (e.g., Cloud Foundry).
  • 3-5 years of experience creating microservices for PCF Cloud and deploying in Apigee/Apollo Cloud Technologies (AWS).
  • Experience with Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring JMS, Spring Cloud, Spring REST, TDD, and event-driven frameworks.
  • Proficiency with development tools/platforms such as IntelliJ, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure Cloud, Kubernetes (preferred), and Jenkins.
  • Experience with web application development using React, Angular, HTTP, CSS, XML, JSON, TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL, MySQL/SQL.
  • Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Scala, HTML/CSS, Docker, and C.
  • Experience with Microservices, Mockito, CICD Pipeline, Pivotal Cloud, Gradle, Swagger, Apigee, JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience testing applications using SOAP UI and Postman, and refactoring SOAP-based web services to REST APIs.
