Senior Full-Stack Engineer | TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL & Azure

About the role

This is a full-time remote opportunity for candidates located on the West Coast, with a preference for Southern California. It's an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up and influencing technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern applications
• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership
• Establish best practices, scalable architecture, and engineering standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building web applications
• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience developing modern frontend applications using React
• Proven ability to design, develop, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications
• Experience building REST APIs and backend services
• Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, identity management, and application security
• Ability to review code, troubleshoot issues, and improve software quality
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Experience with backend frameworks such as NestJS, Spring Boot, Django, Rails, FastAPI, or similar
• Experience building SaaS or enterprise software platforms
• Background working on financial, operational, or workflow-driven applications
• Experience contributing to new product development or platform modernization efforts
• Familiarity with Azure cloud environments
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows
• Experience building scalable, secure, and highly available systems
• Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, fintech, or other enterprise environments is a plus
• Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience

Skills
