About the role
The Senior Full Stack Engineer will be part of a not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to providing excellence and equity in education. This position involves managing a complex suite of data systems, data feeds, and reports to support students and educators across various assessments, programs, and services.
Responsibilities
- Analyze procedures and design and implement solutions to enhance data quality and automate processes.
- Design, develop, implement, and deploy AWS cloud solutions based on established standards and processes.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and automation test suites.
- Work with AWS Lambda, SNS/SQS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, and DynamoDB, as well as AWS CICD/CDK devops.
- Develop and monitor full stack solutions with a microservice architecture using NodeJS.
- Support and coordinate with other engineers, architects, and teams, including user experience and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Expert level experience in NodeJS and scripting in a Cloud based environment.
- Advanced level of experience with React & UI frameworks, tools, and technologies.
- Demonstrated advanced experience with AWS Lambda, SNS/SQS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, and DynamoDB, AWS CICD/CDK devops.
- Experience developing and monitoring full stack solutions with microservice architecture using NodeJS.
- Effective communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- Fundamentals in Object-Oriented (OO) and computer science foundation principles.
Preferred Skills
- High analytical skills and ability to develop and monitor tools for high-frequency web apps and data services.
- Experience working on Agile teams with a scrum team member attitude.
- Advanced demonstrated experience with AWS cloud-supported programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases.
- Experience building infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or similar scripting techniques.
- Aptitude to learn new things.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and/or other advanced degrees in relevant fields.
- Relevant AWS or other professional certifications.
