About the Role

Our client, a technology-forward, multi-site manufacturer in the Portland area, is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, build, and support software solutions that improve business processes and customer experience. This team is at the center of major digital transformation initiatives—including eCommerce modernization, AI-enabled business solutions, manufacturing automation, advanced analytics, ERP modernization, and Industry 4.0 technologies—and you'll deliver solutions with real, measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications, APIs, integrations, and backend services
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and technical standards
  • Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering excellence
  • Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to define and deliver solutions
  • Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and release planning
  • Develop integrations with internal and third-party systems
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support deployments and monitoring
  • Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge through mentoring and collaboration

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, Python, or similar modern technologies
  • Experience developing REST APIs and distributed applications
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of cloud-native development patterns
  • Experience integrating ERP, CRM, eCommerce, manufacturing, or other business systems
  • Experience mentoring offshore developers
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools

Pay

Target pay for this role is $140,000–$155,000 per year but may vary based on experience.

This position is located within an ITAR-regulated facility. Due to the nature of the work and access to controlled information, applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, asylees, or refugees).
