About the Opportunity: The SENIOR FRONTEND SOFTWARE ENGINEER will lead the creation and delivery of high-performance web and mobile user experiences across multiple portals used by members and advisors. This role is crucial in shaping how users engage with healthcare options, cost estimation, plan management, and communication, ultimately enhancing user confidence and clarity in healthcare decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and launch user interfaces for web and mobile platforms that enable healthcare planning and management.
• Take full ownership of features from requirements to production monitoring.
• Develop responsive, accessible React-based applications using TypeScript integrated with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with backend teams to design clean API interfaces.
• Write comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure robust automation coverage.
• Optimize application performance, load times, and relevant web vitals.
• Develop reusable UI components and maintain frontend infrastructure following best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and manage monitoring dashboards to ensure reliability.
• Mentor and recruit engineers, influence engineering culture, and maintain high standards.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to product roadmap planning.

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience with production web and mobile applications, preferably in consumer or healthcare domains.
• Expertise in React/React Native, TypeScript, UI design patterns, state management, and component architecture.
• Strong knowledge of GraphQL, REST APIs, caching, CDNs, and databases.
• Proven ability to deliver user-centered products end-to-end.
• Experience with performance tuning, accessibility compliance, responsive and cross-device design.
• Skilled in testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience managing production systems including logging, monitoring, and error tracking.
• Effective cross-disciplinary collaboration and clear technical communication skills.
• Commitment to building products that empower users, particularly in health and wellness.

Pay
