Senior Freight Forwarder, Capital Equipment
Summary
The Senior Freight Forwarder will be responsible for executing transportation and logistics projects for DSV's clients. They will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines, budgets, and goals are met, while also providing exceptional customer service. This role requires flexibility and extended availability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cook up the importation or exportation of goods from end to end
- Prepare and process required documentation
- Monitor shipments and projects, providing updates to customers 24/7
- Manage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
- Execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Identify and manage project risks and issues
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communicate project progress to internal teams
- All other duties as assigned.
Educational background / Work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management or logistics
- Experience working in Freight Forwarding is required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations
Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes
- Knowledge of air freight logistics within the project space, specialty, or oversized movements
- Available to travel and work odd hours when needed
Language skills
- Fully fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with CargoWise is preferred

Pay Range
The expected base pay range is $70,304.00 - $85,560.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
