About the role
Crossing Hurdles is partnering with a leading US AI frontier lab to source experienced finance professionals for a high-impact remote consulting engagement. This is not a traditional contract role. You will be helping shape how AI systems understand and reason about complex financial concepts.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess AI-generated responses related to FP&A workflows and financial strategy
- Identify factual, technical, and reasoning errors in model outputs
- Write and refine high-quality financial prompts, scenarios, and evaluations
- Provide expert-level annotations grounded in real-world finance practice
- Flag gaps in how the AI handles budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning tasks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance
- Target backgrounds: FP&A Analyst, Senior FP&A Manager, Capital Allocation Specialist, Strategic Finance Lead
- CFA or MBA in Finance preferred
- Strong command of financial modeling, forecasting methodology, and planning cycles
- Ability to articulate where AI reasoning goes wrong and why
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, async-first environment

- Domain Focus: Financial planning and analysis, Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, Long-range planning and scenario modeling, Capital allocation and strategic finance, Management reporting and board-level presentations
