Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer, United States - BCG X
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. This position is open to individuals with a completed PhD or one in the process of earning it, looking to start full-time before November 2026.
About the role
Our BCG X teams own the entire analytics value chain from start to finish: framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing, and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI. Our product offerings range from fully custom-built solutions to industry-specific leading-edge AI software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients in various BCG regions and industries to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities and publish papers.
- Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.
Requirements
- A completed PhD or PhD in process, looking to start full-time before November 2026.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python.
- Strong background in software development practices and standards.
- Ability to optimize and enhance computational efficiency of algorithms and software design.
- Passion for software development, large-scale data analytics, and transforming organizations into AI-led innovative companies.

Pay
The first year base compensation for this role is $190,000 USD.
