Senior Flight Test Dispatcher

About the role

The Senior Flight Test Dispatcher plays a crucial role in coordinating flight test activities for Airbus aircraft, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the team.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch A220/A320/A321 test flights in accordance with FAA/TCCA/EASA regulations while adhering to Airbus Flight Test policies and procedures.
• Provide detailed Flight Test crew member briefings (including Customer crews) covering weather, ATC flight plans, NOTAMs, atmospheric conditions affecting aircraft communications, and airspace concerns (SUA, ATC capacity, TFR information).
• Manage resource planning and crew scheduling to include all stakeholders, ensuring efficient support for A220 & A320 programs.
• Oversee TSA waiver program for both A220 & A320 programs and coordinate with the Customer Experience team.
• Support sustainability initiatives to increase SAF usage during production flight test events and track Sustainability Key Performance Indicators.
• Liaise with Mobile Airport Authorities (MAA) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) for airport operations and international ferry flight departures.
• Administer Airbus Logbook (ALB), maintain dispatch guidelines, operating procedures, and training procedures.
• Organize and oversee Flight OPS planning meetings.
• Other duties as assigned, including evaluating aircraft evacuation locations for severe weather events and developing robust apron control guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification holder.
• Previous experience in flight operations and preferably in a Flight Test department.
• Previous experience with NavBlue or similar flight planning software.
• Previous experience conducting communication tests with aircraft.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Previous experience with TSA waiver submission and modification coordination.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the flight operations department.
• Preferred: FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate holder.
• Pilot's license preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with senior level managers.
• Fluent in English, preferred: French, German, or Spanish.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using flight planning software and Google Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of FAA airspace, route, terminal, and proficiency regulations.
• Ability to comprehend NOTAMs and provide clear and concise communication.
