Senior Fleet Mechanic - Welding & Fabrication

Essential Functions

Performs skilled maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of automotive and heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Responsible for welding and fabrication for Fleet Department.

Trains and performs lead worker responsibilities for lower-level Fleet workers.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
• Education and experience equivalent to seven years of experience as a mechanic in diverse automotive, heavy-duty trucks and equipment, transit buses and/or mobile equipment maintenance and repair.
• Experience in welding and fabrication.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 36 months prior to the start date.
• A Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• A State of Arizona Emissions Inspection License with gas, diesel and fleet permits.
• A complete set of hand and power tools.
