Senior Firmware Engineer, Controls Systems

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for real-time motor control, sensing, and system monitoring
• Debug complex system-level issues where root cause may span software, firmware, hardware, or component behavior
• Use hardware debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DMMs to diagnose timing, signaling, and electrical issues
• Act as a technical bridge between hardware and software, collaborating closely with EEs, controls, motion planning, and systems engineers
• Advise leadership on technical decisions and strategy
• Mentor and advise other engineers as well as peers on technical and personal advancement
• Drive technical decision making and implementation through hands-on and technically deep work

Requirements

• Experience: Strong technical background, including 5+ years working in complex environments

Pay

The salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000, depending on experience. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options.

Schedule

This role is hybrid with 3 days/week onsite in our Glen Cove, NY factory.
