Senior Fire Protection Engineer

As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer working with our team in Portland, OR, Phoenix, AZ, or Pittsburgh, PA, you’ll use your skills and experience to help deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects.
You’ll assist in the design of water spray/sprinkler and foam systems for large industrial facilities with chemical hazards while also helping develop the plans for overall building safety. You’ll be part of diverse multi-discipline teams, allowing you to both share your knowledge and learn so you can grow. Responsibilities
- Lead projects and manage resources
- Design water spray/sprinkler and foam systems for industrial facilities with chemical hazards
- Develop plans for overall building safety
- Mentor junior staff
- Manage full project lifecycle—from conceptual design through services during construction
- Travel 10-20% of the time
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, NavisWorks, and Revit/Revit MEP
- Experience with industrial hazardous area sprinkler systems
- Passion for fire sprinkler systems and innovative design solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
- Design Management experience
- 10+ years of experience

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $132,900.00 to $182,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
