About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Team. In this dynamic position, you will work on global financial reporting and consolidation efforts, particularly as International transitions to SAP for consolidation. You will collaborate across brands with TRATON, gaining exposure to various system implementations and playing a key role in refining and realigning team responsibilities. This role offers the chance to tackle challenging and varied tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment where precedent may not exist.
Responsibilities
- Compile and prepare essential financial documents and reports required by TRATON, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Utilize formal processes to gather, consolidate, and analyze financial data, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and proper accounting standards across all reports.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of ERP and consolidation systems, including SAP, FCCS, and Oracle, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Play a key role in quarter-end and year-end close processes, managing tight deadlines and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Partner with global stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and coordination on financial reporting and consolidation efforts.
- Collaborate with auditors to support the review and audit of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with new and existing technical accounting literature, ensuring all financial reporting aligns with TRATON policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of accounting/financial reporting experience OR Master's degree and at least 1 year of accounting/financial reporting experience OR at least 5 years of accounting/financial reporting experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee). Work sponsorship (e.g., H-1B status) is not provided for this position.
Skills
- Strong background in accounting or financial reporting, with specific experience in SEC reporting.
- Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using various financial systems, including consolidation and reporting systems; experience with SAP, FCCS, and Oracle is a plus.
- Technologically savvy, with the ability to adapt to different system implementations, particularly ERP and consolidation systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently while receiving guidance as needed.
- Willingness to work outside standard hours during quarter-end, year-end, and other critical reporting periods.
