About the Role

Solugenix is assisting a prestigious and large investment management company in their search for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related function.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related degree.
  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, etc.) and experience with an enterprise accounting system (such as SAP).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on financial results.

Skills

  • Able to critically analyze situations and solve problems effectively.
  • Well organized with a proven ability to successfully juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates analytical skills in areas of high complexity and ambiguity.
  • Experience in analyzing complex financial reports.
  • General knowledge of mutual funds or experience in the investment management industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively partner with the global finance team.
  • Must have: Financial modeling, variance analysis, financial reporting (budget, actuals, forecast), capex/opex understanding, HC/workforce/vendors/contractors expense management.
  • Nice to have: Tech industry knowledge (e.g., Cloud, Infra, FinOps, AI).
  • Tools: SAP/S4/Hana, SAC, PBI, very strong in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develops/initiates and delivers moderate to complex strategic financial analysis to support business operations and decisions.
  • Analyzes financial and business information and key drivers at a business unit or functional level to assess business issues, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations for determining courses of action.
  • Develops, delivers, and assesses the fiscal year plan and forecasts for a business unit or function as well as multi-year financial projects.
  • Supports the annual budgeting process with analysis, reporting, and financial modeling.
  • Develops and delivers moderate to complex business management reports and key financial metrics, including recurring financial analysis.
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis.

Pay

Pay range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $79.31/hour.
