About the role

The Worldwide Retail Growth & Development team within Grocery Stores Finance seeks a strategic Senior Financial Analyst who will lead remodel strategy and investment decision support to optimize existing retail store performance, own comprehensive occupancy planning and reporting across all banners, including rent approvals, drive asset management excellence through lease disposition strategies and efficient exit planning for non-operating locations, execute impairment testing and portfolio optimization initiatives including asset retirement obligations and fair market value analysis, provide strategic finance support for Instore Retail Partnerships, and maintain rigorous compliance with GRC requirements and cross-functional financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead remodel strategy and investment decision support to optimize existing retail store performance
  • Own comprehensive occupancy planning and reporting across all banners, including rent approvals
  • Drive asset management excellence through lease disposition strategies and efficient exit planning for non-operating locations
  • Execute impairment testing and portfolio optimization initiatives including asset retirement obligations and fair market value analysis
  • Provide strategic finance support for Instore Retail Partnerships, optimizing third-party operations within WWGS locations
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with GRC requirements and cross-functional financial controls

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
  • Experience with other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in financial forecasting and reporting
