Senior Financial Analyst, Sub Same Day Operations Finance

About the role

The Sub Same Day Finance team designs and launches new business initiatives, partnering closely with operations to influence strategic direction, drive operational excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions.

Responsibilities

• Create financial models and plans, interpret large data sets, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon.
• Build effective business partnerships and use active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through data and financial analysis, including proactively resolving defects, benchmarking key performance indicators, and developing new metrics.
• Implement solutions to simplify, improve, automate, standardize, and scale processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Qualifications

• MBA, or CPA preferred
• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Pay

Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Base salary range for this position is $73,600.00 - $128,800.00 USD annually.
