Senior Financial Analyst, Payments
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who is business-minded, data-driven, and able to translate large and complex data sets into meaningful information with the desire to influence BOLD’s decision and performance. Using your strong analytical skills, you will review data surrounding payment acceptance rates, chargebacks, and other performance metrics to develop strategies that drive growth within the business. You will work closely with our development team to implement changes to the internal e-commerce platform supporting our payment strategies and help design the necessary reporting and tools to effectively review and adjust the e-commerce operation.
Responsibilities
- Identify patterns in payment processing success, chargeback, and fraud rates by analyzing large quantities of data.
- Monitor and forecast payment-related metrics, such as acceptance rate and fraud rate, and predict customer behaviors through data analysis and modeling.
- Understand the key drivers of company KPIs (e.g., conversion rate, lifetime value of a customer, chargeback rate, and fraud rate) and their relative contribution to business performance through financial and statistical modeling.
- Monitor payment acceptance rates and track performance trends to proactively recommend adjustments to payment processor allocation strategies.
- Review transaction and chargeback data across various card brands, processors, and gateways to monitor performance trends, identify anomalies, and recommend solutions.
- Make recommendations to improve operations, anti-fraud processes, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with teams across the company, including Finance, Platform, Customer Support, Product, and Marketing, to drive results.
- Present analysis to senior executives and act as a business partner across all departments.
Requirements
- Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related degree required.
- 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, statistics, or a highly analytical finance role.
- Extensive experience in building complex financial models, conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis, and scenario analysis.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Advanced Excel and Pivot Table proficiency, as well as PowerPoint skills.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in quantitative fields such as Economics, Statistics, or Business Analytics.
- Experience with SiSense, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
- Previous experience in Payments is a plus.

Pay
Starting pay range: $110,000—$130,000 USD. Individual pay is based on location, transferable skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonus and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability insurance, 401(k), paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays, all subject to applicable plan terms.

This position is 100% remote, work from home.
