Senior Financial Analyst - Operations (Salm)

Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst – Operations at our Denmark campus will collaborate with facility leadership teams to drive financial opportunities and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with all levels at the plant, including the core leadership team, team leaders, and operations members
• Livethe Johnsonville Way by engaging everyone to achieve business goals; serve as a role model and coach to help them succeed
• Turn data into valuable insights; help explain the "what" (the facts), "why" (the drivers and trends), "so what" (ask thoughtful questions and use relationships to drive improvement), and "what’s next" (next steps)
• Create simple, clear dashboards and turn numbers into a meaningful message; connect that message to themes people can easily relate to and understand
• Assist with forecasting and the annual budgeting process for the Denmark campus and ensure facility processes are streamlined and aligned with overall company processes
• Assist in ensuring that the facility cost savings pipelines meet expectations for current and future years
• Partner with the Plant Controller to assess new business opportunities; provide insights on proposed capital projects (like IRR, cost savings, and post-mortems) and productivity projects (focused on continuous improvement)
• Identify best practices and collaborate with the Plant Controller to roll them out across the network
• Support the development of procedures and controls to ensure accurate product costs and reliable inventory management

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required

Experience

• Five (5) years of cost accounting and analytics experience, required
• Analytical experience in a manufacturing, food or consumer packaged goods environment, strongly preferred
• CMA is a plus
• Experience working with and/or creating meaningful operational reports and guiding operations members on how to understand and use financial data
• Leadership experience is a plus

Skills

• Great at communicating and making financial information easy to understand
• Strong computer skills (Intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and if you've worked with SAP, that's a plus!
• Skilled at analyzing data, spotting trends, and coming up with action plans or recommendations
