Senior Financial Analyst, NACF, NACF, USNS

About the role

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support operational and functional leaders. This role is part of a team committed to operational and financial excellence within Amazon’s complex retail networks, delivering billions of packages annually. The NACFinance team provides cost controllership, projects return on investment (ROI), and financial insights for end-to-end defect reduction processes across the supply chain.

This position involves translating operational KPIs into financial impact to ensure stakeholders have reliable information for decision-making. The role requires learning and curiosity to navigate complex ambiguity, think big, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Business Finance Support: Use financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyze business problems with limited guidance.
• Controllership: Own financial reporting for a business area, identify and resolve complex data integrity issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards. Develop and execute scalable, auditable data analysis processes.
• Communication: Utilize active listening skills to communicate data clearly and adjust communication style for diverse audiences. Create effective partnerships with Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events. Draw conclusions and make recommendations to drive improvements.
• Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams.
• Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.

About the team

This role partners closely with Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR, and Technology. As a financial advocate and business partner, you will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve business economics.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a quantitative role (e.g., engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
• Advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
• Experience identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Pay

• USA, NY, New York: $73,600.00 - $128,800.00 USD annually
• USA, TN, Nashville: $60,200.00 - $105,400.00 USD annually
• USA, TX, Irving: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
• USA, VA, Arlington: $66,900.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, Bellevue: $82,700.00 - $117,100.00 USD annually

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
